Job Requirements:

  • National Senior Certificate / Grade 12.
  • Diploma / Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering
  • CAD (Solid work or Inventor)
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant postgraduate experience.
  • Experience in a production/manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Machine maintenance knowledge required.
  • Sound finance and budgeting experience
  • Supervisory/management experience is required.
  • Computer literate
  • Driver’s license and own vehicle is compulsory
  • Must be able to speak and write in English and Afrikaans
  • South African applicants only
  • Clear criminal record

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze Production / Maintenance data to determine equipment efficiency.
  • Spend time in the production plant to monitor machines and processes.
  • Conduct tests on machines and report on progress and findings.
  • Liaise with production departments on machine improvement requests.
  • Interact with production department on machine improvements.
  • Ensure that job cards are recorded, issued, and completed on time.
  • Execute and implement planned maintenance activities and statutory maintenance to take place as per maintenance plan
  • Compile preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, and breakdowns reports.
  • Responsible for all services, calibration and validation on various machinery and equipment
  • Monitor all stock and non-stock items in the maintenance store, including consumables, materials and parts required.
  • Manage maintenance contractors on -site, ensuring housekeeping, OHSA and HACCP are always adhered
  • Plan, delegate and coordinate repairs and services of machines.
  • Lead shutdown maintenance on all equipment
  • Ensure legal compliance of equipment where necessary.
