Maintenance Engineer (Production/Manufacturing)
Job Requirements:
- National Senior Certificate / Grade 12.
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering
- CAD (Solid work or Inventor)
- Minimum of 3 years relevant postgraduate experience.
- Experience in a production/manufacturing environment is essential.
- Machine maintenance knowledge required.
- Sound finance and budgeting experience
- Supervisory/management experience is required.
- Computer literate
- Driver’s license and own vehicle is compulsory
- Must be able to speak and write in English and Afrikaans

Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze Production / Maintenance data to determine equipment efficiency.
- Spend time in the production plant to monitor machines and processes.
- Conduct tests on machines and report on progress and findings.
- Liaise with production departments on machine improvement requests.
- Interact with production department on machine improvements.
- Ensure that job cards are recorded, issued, and completed on time.
- Execute and implement planned maintenance activities and statutory maintenance to take place as per maintenance plan
- Compile preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, and breakdowns reports.
- Responsible for all services, calibration and validation on various machinery and equipment
- Monitor all stock and non-stock items in the maintenance store, including consumables, materials and parts required.
- Manage maintenance contractors on -site, ensuring housekeeping, OHSA and HACCP are always adhered
- Plan, delegate and coordinate repairs and services of machines.
- Lead shutdown maintenance on all equipment
- Ensure legal compliance of equipment where necessary.
- Downtime due to breakdown management
