Job requirements:

- A diploma in mechanical engineering as a minimum.
- Good understanding how to implement the ISO 9001:2008/2015 standards Relevant codes of construction such as: A.S.M.E / E.N / A.P.I / A.N.S.I /A.W.S.D 1.1 / A.N.S / A.S.T.M as well as G.T.A.W / S.M.A.W / F.C.A / M.I.G, S.M.A.W processes & equipment.
- 5 plus years of jobbing shop experience with some experience at a level above artisan
Job responsibility:
- Implementing Quality Management Systems: Establish and implement effective Quality Management Systems (QMS) for our Project / Engineering Department. Defining quality standards, processes, and procedures that need to be followed throughout the project’s lifecycle.
- Conducting Inspections and Audits: Inspect materials, equipment, and workmanship to identify any deviations from the set quality parameters.
- To monitor welder performance, conduct visual inspections of welds, and inspect & test incoming/outgoing welding & construction materials.
- To monitor different processes from all aspects to ensure performance meets job quality, and design requirements by company procedures.
- International standards, to coordinate procedure qualification tests (POT), and inspections of prepared test specimens.
- To identify, and prepare welding procedure specifications (WPS), (PQR) for jobs as per project specifications.
- Verify Welders to meet (PQR) requirements. To apply data to the creation of a data pack.
- To undertake verification of welding machines to ensure equipment meets job requirements specifications.
- To provide verification of electrode baking, holding temperature, including control issue.
- To conduct fit up, dimension inspection, test plan (ITP)& to provide technical guidance for welding sequence, distortion control.
- To check that fabrication is done in accordance to approved drawings and specifications.
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Testing Methods. To oversee and sometimes perform NDT procedures to assess the integrity of materials and components without causing any damage.
- Documenting and reporting to maintain meticulous records of all inspections, tests, and findings throughout the project.
- Work collaboratively with the project team to identify the root cause of deviations and implement corrective and preventive measures to avoid similar issues in the future.
- Supplier and Contractor Quality Management: Evaluating the quality of materials, equipment, and services provided by suppliers and contractors.
