Technical Buyer / Replenishing Stock Clerk
- Knowledge of steel purchasing
- To be computer literate
- Good communication skills
- Good negotiation skills
- Must always be able to Source Stock and negotiate prices to keep the Warehouse full
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Qualifications: Matric
- 5 years’ experience within a Service Centre environment
- Analysing stock levels within the Warehouse / Service Centre
- Obtaining of quotes and purchasing of steel
- Negotiation with suppliers
- Planning of stock orders
- Preparing the orders for approval
- Loading of orders on the system after approval
- Following up on outstanding orders
- Planning and arranging of transport from out of CT area to Epping
- Liaising between stock control and supplier re incorrect supplied and short supplying of stock, as well as poor quality stock.
- Obtaining of quotes for sales requests.
