Senior Mechanical / Structural Design Engineer

Job Requirements:

• Minimum BTech in Mechanical Engineering
• 7 years + in Design Engineering
• 7 years + FEA analysis experience
• AutoCAD/Inventor, SolidWorks is a must
• Preferably candidates from the Marine Industry
• Valid Drivers License and own vehicle,
• Must be an SA Citizen

Job Responsibilities:

• Produce SolidWorks Designs as required
• Produce FEA analysis as required
• Perform Structural calculations & top support designs
• Provide structural design guidance to junior staff
• Coordinate design inputs from junior & other stuff
• Manage subcontractor designs & integrate design inputs from them
• Review and approve structural drawings
• Read & interrogate 3^rd party codes & standards
• Prepare design submission reports for 3^rd party review
• Respond to & resolve 3^rd party comments on design submissions
