Quality Supervisor

Position is situated in Paarl – Must live in and around the area

The successful candidate will be responsible for Total Quality Management within the company, including all relevant systems, processes and the team of Quality Controllers, a Quality Assurance Officer, and a Welding Inspector.

The successful candidate will report to the Manager Quality and Business Systems.

You will be required to have the following:

· Minimum National Diploma or BTech in Industrial Engineering

· At least two years’ experience in a production environment with strong emphasis on Quality.

· Good understanding of, and ability to implement Quality Control and Quantitative methods in the production environment.

· Analytical ability to interpret and translate data and findings into a meaningful result.

· Ability to read and understand moderately complex engineering drawings.

· Be proficient with MS Office suite.

· Be assertive and have strong interpersonal skills.

· Be able to work independently and exercise lateral thinking.

· Be able to work accurately and prioritize under pressure.

· Be able to manage a team.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• To implement and maintain process controls and measurements.
• Compile requisite quality documentation (QCP, CoCs, EoMRs), sign off as required and file.
• Responsible for Quality Management System – as acting DCC ensure current approved documentation is in circulation and obsolete documents are removed; Compile and maintain SOPs, PFDs and PFMEAs;
• Ensure adherence to process controls, procedures and working documents;
• Perform QMS training; develop internal audit schedule and perform audits accordingly; manage NCRs and IIRs.
• Manage quality team – maintain time and attendance; plan capacity in support of production;
• Maintain high levels of performance to meet customer specifications and delivery lead times.
