Electrician -Red Seal – Offshore Installations

Job requirements:
| · Must have 4 years’ experience in 3 Phase mining & marine fields.
· Must have 3 years Offshore installations · Excellent written & verbal communication skills in English |

Job responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with Group Safety and Security policies
- Complete Risk Assessments on all activities
- Ensure compliance with Permits to Work (Hot Work etc)
- Inspects, installs and repairs wiring fixtures and equipment for all electrical services on the mining and plant systems, or on-board ship as directed
- Maintenance and repair of generators, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, electrical motors, distribution panels, alarm, and lighting circuits
- Troubleshoots electrical equipment and circuits using appropriate test equipment to detect and effect required maintenance, repairs, or replacements
- Recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance
- Maintains correct inventory stock levels of electrical spares
- Ensures workshop and all work tools are safe, properly maintained and stowed
- Maintains electrical systems histories noting date and extent of repairs and/or alterations
- Records analysis and interpretation of test data, adjusts, calibrates, aligns, and modifies circuitry and components and records effects on unit performance
- Technical reports illustrating systems operating characteristics, malfunctions, and deviations

| · Valid Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) – (RSA / NAMIBIA) |
| · Seamans Record Book (RSA / NAMIBIA) |
| · STCW (Standards of Training, Certification & Watchkeeping for Seafarers), Courses:
