Job requirements:
- Matric
- Purchasing certificate or relevant experience
- Fully bilingual (English & Afrikaans)
- Responsibilities will include but not limited to processing purchase orders,
- negotiating with suppliers,
- tracking orders,
- ensuring details on purchase orders and
- delivery notes correspond and that any discrepancies are corrected,
- creating and maintaining an inventory.
- Tracking and capturing of vehicle fleet movements and expenditure and reporting thereon, compile vehicle registration and licensing documentation as required.
- Must be able to work under pressure with good communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience of sales and marketing principles and/or experience in roofing/construction industry will be a distinct advantage.
Job responsibilities:
- Procurement/ Buying
- All orders to be processed according to specifications (material, delivery, date, quantity) at the best price
- Purchase order to be done within 24 hours of receiving order
- Product discrepancies to be handled correctly and timeously
- Build a relationship with suppliers and negotiate best pricing
- Product/Stock
- Product development to be done
- Prices
- Ensuring pricelist is updated daily as needed
- Regular price comparisons to be done
- Stock Management
- Product control is in place for receiving and delivery of products
- Tool & Equipment Rentals
- Stock levels are managed between maximum and minimum quantities
- Expediting/ Orders
- Follow up is done on all orders within 24 hours and delivery dates confirmed.
- Collection and deliveries are arranged with Logistics if the suppliers don’t deliver
- Information of orders and delivery dates are communicated through to departments involved.
- Any deviations from orders to be rectified and noted.
