Job requirements:

  • Matric
  • Purchasing certificate or relevant experience
  • Fully bilingual (English & Afrikaans)
  • Responsibilities will include but not limited to processing purchase orders,
  • negotiating with suppliers,
  • tracking orders,
  • ensuring details on purchase orders and
  • delivery notes correspond and that any discrepancies are corrected,
  • creating and maintaining an inventory.
  • Tracking and capturing of vehicle fleet movements and expenditure and reporting thereon, compile vehicle registration and licensing documentation as required.
  • Must be able to work under pressure with good communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of sales and marketing principles and/or experience in roofing/construction industry will be a distinct advantage.

 

Job responsibilities:

  • Procurement/ Buying
    1. All orders to be processed according to specifications (material, delivery, date, quantity) at the best price
    2. Purchase order to be done within 24 hours of receiving order
  • Product discrepancies to be handled correctly and timeously
  1. Build a relationship with suppliers and negotiate best pricing
  • Product/Stock
    1. Product development to be done
  • Prices
    1. Ensuring pricelist is updated daily as needed
  • Regular price comparisons to be done

 

  • Stock Management
    • Product control is in place for receiving and delivery of products
  1. Tool & Equipment Rentals
  2. Stock levels are managed between maximum and minimum quantities
  • Expediting/ Orders
    1. Follow up is done on all orders within 24 hours and delivery dates confirmed.
  • Collection and deliveries are arranged with Logistics if the suppliers don’t deliver
  • Information of orders and delivery dates are communicated through to departments involved.
  • Any deviations from orders to be rectified and noted.
