Medium Voltage Authorized Electrician

Job Requirements:

• Relevant qualification (N6 Electrical and Artisan)
• A valid driver’s license.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Medium Voltage Electrician.
• Completion of electrician apprenticeship.
• Valid driver’s license
• MV electrical system, power generation, blueprints and maintenance and repair knowledge.
• Valid MV authorization Eskom

Job Responsibilities:

• MV – Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
• Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Perform general electrical maintenance.
• Inspect transformers, RMU’s and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate of testing devices.
• Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
• Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
• Circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
• Good knowledge of various test equipment.
• Perform MV switching
• MV jointing and termination certificate (heat shrink and cast iron)
