Job title: Red Seal Fitter & Turner.

Reporting to: Workshop Co-Ordinator.

Salary: TBD (Dependent on experience).

Duration: 6 Month contract with option to go permanent.  

Qualification & Experience: Red seal fitter & Turner, 8+ years of experience and some experience with operating CNC machines. The CNC milling machine is a US Wheeler EM-1000A.

 

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Run a small machine shop comprising of a lathe, milling machine and 3-axis CNC milling machine.
  • Manufacture components as per drawing for use in our standardized product range.
  • Must have good communication skills and be able to report back to engineering on possible improvements or issues that arise.
  • Must be forward thinking and be able to develop ideas to increase efficiency on mass production parts.
  • Must be ready to work as part of small experienced team and be willing to debate ideas and take criticism.
  •  When there are production runs the candidate must switch out the parts and keep the machining operating without the Director to have to come down every 10min to setup the next part.

Ideal age would be 30 to 40 years old with some experience in operating CNC machines
