Job requirements:
- For Visa’s and RAPS ensure crews and all staff’s compliance is monitored and communicated
- Prepare all permit, visa & RAP applications is executed accordingly for all company employees.
- Permit documentation, all visa and RAP must be timeously filed, and database is updated.
- Coordinate that all crews and staff’s Visa’s & RAP’s are valid and consistently followed up
- Based on EE – Administration of EEA2. EEA4. Workforce Profiles, Goals & Targets
- Organize & maintain personnel records
- Identify EE barriers
- Assist HR Group manager EE meetings, Admin information, Drafting EE plans, submission of EE plans.
- Under both employment equity reporting and skills development levy the successful compilation and submission for BBBEE reporting and certification.
- In Health and Safety, you will have to evaluate and monitor health and safety hazards and develop strategies to control risks in the workplace.
- Initial orientation for newly hired employees is provided on first day of employment, together with security tags
- Liaise with public services, when necessary, hospitals, UIF, Labour department, etc.
- Maintain and update a detailed register of Injury on duty (IOD).
- all IOD claims are submitted to the insurance with relevant supporting documentation and followed up.
- Prepare letter of guarantee (GOP).
- Notify relevant hospitals when vessels are in port or dry dock and the relevant contact persons.
- All safety compliance is in place for both onshore and offshore areas of the business.
Job responsibilities:
- Training and strategies to be developed with the line manager by considering staff requirements
- Plan tracked/monitor, implement training to ensure successfully executed to cover all offshore and onshore operations for the company.
Accountable for the timeously implementation and submission of compulsory and open grants. - Evaluating training need yearly in conjunction with line managers.
- Establishing personal networks within the industry and maintains knowledge of training requirements by attending workshops.
- Ensure that training is accredited with SAMSA in terms of STCW and IMO regulations
- Gather all yearly repots for relevant SETAS for submission
- Ensure programmes implemented to meet training needs and the skills gaps identified, workplace skills plan, SETA compliance etc.
- When there is training, and course bookings required for the group you will liaise with all HOD’s / Managers and OSM’s
- Maintain training schedules for all employees in the Company
- Collation and submission of Annual documentation for Department Mineral Resources.
- To accomplish the organisation’s goals, planning, directing, stuff induction, delivering training and development programmes need to be followed.
- Administering regular, detailed needs assessments to identify skills deficits.
- To meet training needs and the skills gaps identified, workplace skills plan, SETA compliance, ensure programmes are implemented and learning development initiatives are within budget and that the budget is fully utilized.
- Facilitate learning programs and interventions where appropriate to do so.
- Coordinating internal and external training as the need arises.
- Supervising staffs and crew performance by liaising with line managers and department heads and examining the Quarterly Appraisal assessments of Staff and Crews.
- Addressing skills deficits through tailored in-house training.
- Assist with learnerships and internship interventions where necessary.
- Be able to write Management summaries
- Submit monthly and quarterly reports, or as and when needed.
- Be available all time as a sounding board for all employees with the explicit aim of improving their orientation and training.
Specific Requirements/Additional information
- Matric/ Grade 12
- HR Diploma / HR Degree (preferably in HR Training).
- Registered Mining Qualifications Authority Training Assessor / Moderator (Advantageous)
- At least 3 years’ experience as a Training Officer within Off-shore mining company or Construction environment
- Proven track record of boosting company growth through training Knowledgeable – SETA
