Hydraulic Technician X2

Hydraulic Technicians required Urgently, x1 for the Workshop and x1 for Offshore

Must be willing to get your hands dirty..

Job requirements:

• Certificate in hydraulics and pneumatics
• 8 years hydraulics experience.
• 5 years hydraulic experience at sea minimum
• Minimum grade 10.
• Minimum NTC 3 trade theory
• Trade Tested Fitter & Turner/Fitter with machining /Mechanical Fitter
• Basic computer literacy
• Proof of relevant Certificates of Competency (COC)
• National Passport
• National Seaman Book (preferable)
• Police Clearance Certificate
• SAMSA or MLC2006 Equivalent Medical Certificate
• Proficiency in Designated Security Duties (PDSD)
• Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET)
• Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate
• Rigging certificate (preferable)

Job responsibilities:

• Hydraulic workshop
• Plant hydraulics
• LARS and Crawler hydraulics
• Safe operation of onboard hydraulic systems related to the Crawler and the plant.
• Risk assessment and risk mitigation during planning on job sites
• Provide assistance with tool deployment and recovery as and when required.
• Maintain all welding equipment in a safe manor.
• Fabricate and repair components of the plant, crawler and ship as required.
• Maintain good housekeeping on all relevant work sites during and after preforming repairs.
• Ensuring the area is safe after repairs which includes monitoring the cool down period.
• Hydraulic maintenance
• Hydraulic fault finding.
• Knowledge of all the equipment and basic maintenance associated with the crawler, LARS and the plant.
• Basic machining with lathe and milling machines (preferable)
• Read and write English
• Read a hydraulic schematic drawing.
• Basic welding and cutting. (Preferable)
