Project Manager – Commercial

Job Requirements:
- Relevant Logistics, Shipping, or Engineering qualification.
- Com Finance and or CIMA qualification
- Commercial Project and or financial management.
- 8 – 10 years logistics background.
- 3 – 5 years at managerial level.
- Proven track record of operations and people management.
- Working knowledge of health and safety and ISO quality standards.
Job responsibilities:
Solution Design
- Review strategic customer and solution specification, requirements, and commercial conditions
- Scoping, definition, and resources required to deliver solutions in planned time-frames
- Solution modelling, design, financial, risk and operational analysis
- Create a standardized approach to costing and response to commercial offers
- RFQ / RFP / tender submissions
Project implementation / support
- Support logistics projects including expansion, optimization, and diversification of solutions
- Market research, evaluation, and assessment of strategic projects
- Coordinating every aspect of the project from reviewing and approving contract terms to implementation of new strategic contracts, budgets, capital expenditure, variation orders, reporting of project status, project close out and related commercialism
- Manage project charter, progress (Incl. Key Event Schedule) and work streams
- Achieving financial close and on-boarding
Business Development
- Market scanning and research for opportunities and strategic initiatives including evaluation of opportunities with a go/no-go recommendation
- Managing project into M&A or brown / greenfield capital projects on case-by-case basis
- Input in negotiation of heads of agreement
- Negotiating legal agreements and closing out conditions
Administration
- Reviewing current costing and valuation models and suggesting improvements
- Building of financial, operational, and technical models, financial evaluation, and forecasting
- Drafting of board notes, funding proposals, and supporting evidence for deal approval
- Management of fulfilment of contractual conditions
- Preparation of presentations and documents to communicate research
