Job Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (minimum)
  • D Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Diploma / Certificate in sales & marketing from a tertiary institution
  • Sales, administration and marketing skills
  • Marine services industry experience
  • Communication all levels, both written and oral
  • Sales Negotiations
  • PC literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Technically competent
  • Experience with a CRM system
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
  • Able to work under pressure

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify new market opportunities
  • Identify potential customers
  • Meet regularly with clients, both on and off site.
  • Use the latest updated pricing model inputs
  • Negotiate preliminary contracts with customers
  • Develop customer accounts with a focus on offering additional value-added services
  • Give input to new business opportunities
  • Ensure that RFQ forms are filled out correctly and submitted in an efficient manner
  • Facilitate showroom sales
  • Respond timeously to Customer requests
  • Booking out of stock and liaising with the stores for stock
  • Assisting the finance department with customer queries
  • Set quarterly sales strategies
  • Liaise and negotiate with suppliers for pricing and lead times
  • Be able to work flexible hours to meet customer requirements
  • May be required to travel from time to time between branches
