Job Requirements:
- Matric with minimum N3 certificate (Electrical/Mechanical qualification).
- Electrical/Mechanical Qualification or Electrical Trade will be an advantage.
- Contract Management experience.
- 10 years of technical experience relating to Motor Control Panels and associated products.
- Computer literacy – MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ability to assist clients with a full mechanical and electrical design according to the customer’s technical requirements.
- Provide technical support to customers, Sales Engineers, and other company branches.
- Prepare written quotations, including cost calculations, data sheets, and drawings.
- Negotiate orders.
- Liaise with the workshop foreman to ensure the throughput of project orders.
- Coordinate factory acceptance tests.
- Compile and submission of data packs for all relevant project orders.
- Show the ability to monitor various projects.
- Manage permanent and contract staff.
- Process Sales orders via SYSPRO for customers, including issuing dispatch notes and invoices.
- Monitor customer account status and notify the panel divisions administrator at once for account accounts that are in suspense.
- Ensure DocuWare is kept up to date daily.
- Ensure all open Sales Orders and Dispatch Notes are kept under control. (Invoice/cancel each one as soon as possible).
Specific Requirements/Additional Information
A legal driver’s license.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing, including formal communications.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm as well as the willingness to handle difficult situations.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously.
- Ability to work well in a team setting.
- Must have excellent technical skills.
- Good telephone manners.
- The ability to work under pressure.
- A keen sense of urgency and a willingness to learn additional job-related skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Predominantly office based.
- Is subject to work beyond normal working hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays should the need arise.
- Position may require out-of-town travel.
