Junior Draughtsman

Job requirements:

• Mechanical Draughting Diploma.
• Good understanding of construction systems and their function.
• Able to work independently or interactively as a member of a team.
• Self-motivated with creative and innovative mind.
• Proficient with different measuring tools
• Experience in the Roofing Industry is beneficial
• Good communication skills (verbal, written & interpersonal)
• 3 years Autocad experience
• Working Knowledge of Mitek system will be advantageous

Job responsibilities:

• Planning, creating, implementing, controlling and scheduling of design tasks.
• Ensure that all standard operating procedures and design processes are followed.
• Create and implement new standard operating procedures and design processes as needed.
• Ensure best operating practices are implemented and that continuous improvement is embedded within the department.
• Ensure that design progress is maintained on an on-going basis.
• Provide design support to the Construction in the development process.
• The candidate will be required to do detailed roof drawings for approval and final drawings for construction purpose.
• The candidate will also take measurements on site and will be trained in the Mitek system for basic designs and estimations.
