Job Requirements:

 

  • Minimum Matric or equivalent
  • Relevant diploma or degree in accounting
  • Minimum of Five years experience in a related role
  • Accounting background experience
  • Exposure to broad accounting from inputting date to trial balance.
  • Experience preferable over qualification
  • Exposure to high volumes of data and departments
  • Able to work independently as part of a team, with minimum supervision.
  • High level of time management skills required.
  • Well-organized, sober habits, and high attention to detail.
  • Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) is essential.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for capturing monthly journals.
  • Update cashbook daily and reconciliation to be performed weekly/monthly. o Including assisting with the loading of payments
  • Review and submit monthly reporting.
  • Submit cash flow (daily and weekly)
  • Monthly VAT return and reconciliation.
  • Monthly Reconciliation, maintenance, and documentation for all Balance Sheet General Ledger accounts.
  • Booking FECs
  • Assist with the upkeep of a healthy debtors and creditors book.
  • Follow up on open purchase orders to ensure costs are accounted for in the correct period.
  • Maintain Fixed Asset Registers.
  • Assist with annual budgets.
  • Assist with stock-taking.
  • Assist with various audits.
  • Ad hoc requests.
