Job Requirements:
- Minimum Matric or equivalent
- Relevant diploma or degree in accounting
- Minimum of Five years experience in a related role
- Accounting background experience
- Exposure to broad accounting from inputting date to trial balance.
- Experience preferable over qualification
- Exposure to high volumes of data and departments
- Able to work independently as part of a team, with minimum supervision.
- High level of time management skills required.
- Well-organized, sober habits, and high attention to detail.
- Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) is essential.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for capturing monthly journals.
- Update cashbook daily and reconciliation to be performed weekly/monthly. o Including assisting with the loading of payments
- Review and submit monthly reporting.
- Submit cash flow (daily and weekly)
- Monthly VAT return and reconciliation.
- Monthly Reconciliation, maintenance, and documentation for all Balance Sheet General Ledger accounts.
- Booking FECs
- Assist with the upkeep of a healthy debtors and creditors book.
- Follow up on open purchase orders to ensure costs are accounted for in the correct period.
- Maintain Fixed Asset Registers.
- Assist with annual budgets.
- Assist with stock-taking.
- Assist with various audits.
- Ad hoc requests.
