Quality Assurance / Quality Control Technician

Key responsibilities & duties

• Develop/establish/maintain processes and metrics that support ISO 9001 requirements for Production.
• Perform Incoming inspections of materials and marking of heat/serial numbers for inventory control.
• Maintain supplier status and perform External Provider Evaluations.
• Track and report on time delivery.
• Maintain production support functions including monitoring status of tools for Calibration and Maintenance & performing checks including visual inspections & dimensional checks.
• Support quality processes defined in shipping procedures.
• Support & perform internal quality audits.
• Maintaining a non-conformance register.
• Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing quality metrics.
• Must have a good understanding of ISO 9001 processes and assist with auditing & maintaining document control.
• Draft & maintain data packs incl supporting certificates and test reports.
• Arrange 3^rd Party Inspections.
• Contribute to team efforts by mentoring team members and documenting quality processes.
• Must be able to accurately communicate ideas in writing and verbal communication.
• Must have own transport.
• Performing minor administrative roles within the company if required.

Academic or trade qualifications

• Relevant Diploma with specialization in Quality Assurance or Mechanical / Industrial Engineering.

Work experience and skills

Experience:

• 3 – 5 years’ experience with manufacturing of steel welded components.
• Experience with ISO 9001 is required.
• Experience with machining is advantageous.
