Junior Spares Counter Sales Person

In house training will be provided on systems and products, but the candidate must have the following criteria,
- Matric qualification,
- Knowledge of engine components and spare parts,
- Word and Excel,
- Sage or Pastel will be beneficial (although we will provide in-house training),
- Good communication skills, telephonically, e-mails as well as face to face.
- Must have his or her own transport,
- 3-5 years Counter Sales Experience
The candidate will be employed initially on a 3-month contract during which time the candidate will be trained and monitored closely
Once the 3-month period has been completed, the candidate will be evaluated where one of 3 things may occur,
- Termination of 3-month contract
- Extension of contract with another 3 months
- Permanently employed.
Duties will include:
- Assembling spares requirements for customers and in-housework,
- Assisting, quoting, and invoicing customers that walk in, telephonically or via e-mail,
- Keeping customers updated of order status,
- Conducting regular stock takes,
- Placement of firm spares orders,
- Cleaning and upkeep of sales counter along with spares warehouse.
Working hours will be Monday to Friday from 08:00-16:30 and will be expected to work work from time to time when asked to after hours and weekends
