Main Purpose
To provide the internal sales department with all the sales administrative support, ensuring the smooth functioning of the day-to-day sales-related task. Maintaining productivity and customer
support while working alongside sales representatives

Duties and responsibilities
◼ Liaise with dispatch and help to ensure deliveries are made on time and to customer
expectation.
◼ Prepare quotes for customers and follow up in a timely manner.
◼ Source products, specs and solutions.
◼ Check stock, enter orders and expedite to ensure customer deadlines are met.
◼ Assist Sales Reps working with customers.
◼ Communicate with customers when orders are ready for pick-up or delivery.
◼ Solid and proven Switchgear/Controls product knowledge
◼ Provide product and technical support and advice to customers.
◼ Expertise in switchgear/controls product brand matching
◼ Ability to read and to design customized switchgear/controls products based on customer requirements.
◼ Proven ability to handle quotations, process orders & create invoices
◼ Excellent skills in customer service
◼ Take initiative while working well within company policies and procedures.
◼ Building and maintaining relationships with sales engineers, general contractors,
electrical contractors, and end-users.
◼ Provide excellent customer service, greeting all customers at the counter, receiving, or answering customer calls.
◼ Assist customers with product inquiries and purchases, providing solutions.
◼ Select and offer the correct switchgear/controls products to the customers.
◼ Process Drives and controls COD orders and payments, ensure orders are picked, print dispatch note and invoice.
◼ Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
◼ Collaborate with Internal Sales to achieve customer satisfaction.
◼ Ability to organise workload, processes, or physical objects and spaces.
◼ Assisting customers before, during and after purchase to satisfactory customer needs.
◼ Maintain organizational skills.

Qualifications and Experience
◼ Valid Grade 12 certificate
◼ N6 Certificate in Electrical Engineering or Diploma as an advantage
◼ Minimum 5+ years’ of experience with electrical switch-gear products is a must.
◼ Strong knowledge of electrical products – Switch-gear/controls

Experience with a manufacturer, manufacturer’s representative, or electrical distributor is an advantage.
◼ Prior sales and customer service experience
◼ Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently.
◼ Experience in counter sales and the warehouse environment.

◼ Proven inside sale experience.
◼ Drives and motors basic product knowledge
◼ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
◼ Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
◼ A sense of urgency with a strong customer service orientation.
◼ Hard working, resourceful, ambitious with excellent business acumen.
◼ Basic computer skills and familiarity with SYSPRO system as an advantage.

Working Conditions
◼ Primarily performed indoors.
◼ May be required to assist with other sales and warehouse duties as required.
◼ May be subject to work beyond normal working hours, evenings, weekends and holidays
should the need arise.
