Engineering BOM & Routing Administrator

Main Purpose
The main purpose of this position is to define the product structure of a manufactured item and loading Bill of Materials onto Syspro.

Duties and Responsibilities
Bill of Materials
◼ Program the BOM in the correct factory levels.
◼ Load Bill of Materials onto Syspro.
◼ Update and fix BOM.
◼ Create Stock codes and maintenance.

Job Entry
◼ Check BOM and report errors.
◼ Delete and fix existing job errors.
◼ Updated any material changes on all jobs.
◼ Check old jobs and report errors or non-closures to programmers.

Engineering
◼ Act as the interface between PCP and Engineering.
◼ Create and Load stock codes as per Engineering requests.

Routing
◼ Load the factory routings on the BOM structure, using times given by Brazil.
◼ Check the work centers with PCP making sure the operations are in the correct area.
◼ Update the routing if times change or if work center changes.

Other
◼ Assistance with Stock Takes

Qualifications and Experience
◼ Grade 12 Certificate or 2 years’ experience in a similar field.
◼ Syspro Knowledge and or other ERP systems like SAP.
◼ N Level Mechanical Engineering will be advantageous
◼ Computer literacy – MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Special Requirements
◼ A legal driving licence.
◼ Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
◼ Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing, including formal communication and making presentations.
◼ Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
◼ A sense of urgency with a strong customer service orientation.
◼ Hard working, resourceful, ambitious with excellent business acumen.

Working Conditions
◼ In office.
◼ Is subject to work beyond normal working hours, evenings, weekends and holidays should the need arise.
◼ Required to attend and participate in continuing educational programs designed to keep you abreast of changes in your profession
