Electrical Supervisor

Job requirements:

• 5 years’ working experience in a manufacturing environment
• An excellent knowledge of all electrical functions within WAA, such as, MCC, PLC, DB’s, chassis assembly, electrical panel workmanship, fit and finish
• Must have an excellent knowledge of how to read drawings/schematics provided to ensure that every job adheres to the quality and procedures expected
• Knowledge of SYSPRO
• Intermediate computer literacy – Microsoft packages (Word, Excel) is required – must be able to create spreadsheets
• A legal driver licence.

Job responsibilities:

Main Purpose

The main purpose of this position is to coordinate the daily operations of the Electrical facility

(Large works) which include supervision of staff, to ensure delivery on time, safe working environment for all staff and to fulfil all legal and statutory obligations.

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing, including formal communications and making presentations.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• A sense of urgency with a strong customer service orientation
• Willingness and freedom to travel extensively, including frequent overnight stays away from home base.
• Hard working, resourceful, ambitious and have excellent business acumen

Working Conditions

Predominantly office based, out of town travel might be required

Is subject to work beyond normal working hours, evenings, weekends and holidays should the need arise.
