Job requirements:

  • Grade 12 Certificate or 2 years’ experience in a similar field.
  • Syspro Knowledge and or other ERP systems like SAP.
  • N Level Mechanical Engineering will be advantageous
  • Computer literacy – MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • A legal driving licence

Job responsibilities:

Main Purpose

The main purpose of this position is to define the product structure of a manufactured item and loading Bill of Materials onto Syspro

 

Bill of Materials

  • Program the BOM in the correct factory levels.
  • Load Bill of Materials onto Syspro.
  • Update and fix BOM.
  • Create Stock codes and maintenance

Job Entry

  • Check BOM and report errors.
  • Delete and fix existing job errors.
  • Updated any material changes on all jobs.
  • Check old jobs and report errors or non-closures to programmers.

Engineering

  • Act as the interface between PCP and Engineering.
  • Create and Load stock codes as per Engineering requests.

Routing

  • Load the factory routings on the BOM structure, using times given by Brazil.
  • Check the work centers with PCP making sure the operations are in the correct area.
  • Update the routing if times change or if work center changes.

Other

  • Assistance with Stock Takes

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing, including formal communication and making presentations.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • A sense of urgency with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Hard working, resourceful, ambitious with excellent business acumen

Working Conditions

  • In office.
  • Is subject to work beyond normal working hours, evenings, weekends and holidays should the need arise.
  • Required to attend and participate in continuing educational programs designed to keep you abreast of changes in your profession
